Terms of Service

Mechanica writes priced repair estimates from a technician's inspection and puts them into the shop management system you already run. It is a tool that drafts work for your advisor. A person at your shop reviews and approves everything before it reaches a customer. Mechanica does not make repair recommendations to your customers on its own, and it is not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified technician.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for what happens under your account. If you connect Mechanica to your shop management system, you confirm you are entitled to grant that access.

Your shop's data stays yours. We process it to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell it.

Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe someone's rights, to probe or interfere with its security, or to resell it as your own without a written agreement with us.

If you give us your mobile number and agree to it, we may text you about scheduling, confirming and rescheduling a demo, and to answer questions you raised. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Where a paid plan applies, the price, billing period and term are the ones stated in the written agreement or order form between us. Nothing on this website is an offer of a particular price.

We work to keep the service running and will tell you when something is wrong, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. The service depends on third parties, including your shop management system, and their outages are outside our control.

Except where the law says otherwise, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You may stop using the service at any time. Either side may end a paid engagement according to the written agreement between us. We may suspend access if it is being used in a way that breaks these terms or puts the service or other customers at risk.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of the page, and we will give notice of material changes to anyone with an active paid engagement before they take effect.
